What do I need to do to receive a Prelude Scholarship?

All Prelude Scholars

Eligibility

  • Recipients are chosen in recognition of a distinction in musical ability, enthusiasm and passion for choral singing.

  • Recipients must be new to Pro Musica Youth Chorus.

  • Scholarships awarded in 2023 must be for students entering 2nd through 11th grade in the 2023-24 school year.

  • Singers in our youngest ensemble must be able to read words.

  • Scholarships are for the upcoming season August, 2023 - May 2024 and Prelude Scholars are required to register for a full season of Pro Musica Youth Chorus.

Key Dates

  • Apply by June 25, 2023.

  • Notification of awards will be e-mailed by July 15, 2023.

  • Singers must confirm acceptance of the Prelude Scholarship and participation by July 30, 2023.

Singers entering 2nd through 7th grade

Complete the Prelude Scholarship application. 

Singers entering 8th through 11th grade

Complete the Prelude Scholarship application.  You will need to submit a letter of recommendation from your music teacher or submit a video clip of you singing the Star Spangled Banner.  If you would like to submit a video, please see additional instructions.
